Creator sponsorship rate calculator
Use realistic median reach — not your best viral post — then separate the value of creating the content from the additional commercial rights a brand wants to buy.
Estimate a negotiating range for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn or newsletter sponsorships. Use median performance from comparable posts rather than your best viral result.
Method
The calculator starts with realistic reach, applies a CPM range by format, then adjusts the creation value for niche and usage conditions. Advertising rights and exclusivity are separated from the base creation value because they transfer additional commercial value to the brand.
| Format | Working CPM range |
|---|---|
| Instagram Reel | $12–30 |
| Instagram post / carousel | $8–20 |
| TikTok | $12–32 |
| YouTube integration | $20–55 |
| Dedicated YouTube video | $45–100 |
| $15–30 | |
| Newsletter | $20–50 |
These are operating assumptions, not an official industry rate card. Actual pricing depends on audience quality, geography, deliverables, brand risk, production complexity and negotiation leverage.
How to interpret the range
The result is a negotiation range, not an official industry tariff. Creator pricing depends on audience geography, conversion history, niche, production quality, brand safety, deliverables and leverage. Use the output as a structured starting point and keep your real campaign data as the strongest evidence.
Do not give away usage rights for free
Organic reposting, paid advertising, whitelisting/Spark Ads and perpetual buyouts transfer different amounts of value to the brand. A campaign that uses your face and creative in ads for 90 days is not economically equivalent to one organic post on your own account.
Exclusivity also has a price
If a contract prevents you from working with competitors, the restriction can remove future revenue. Longer or broader exclusivity should therefore be priced separately instead of hidden inside the base creation fee.
Use a range, then negotiate the scope
If a brand cannot afford the quote, first reduce rights, duration, exclusivity or number of deliverables before discounting the core creation fee. This keeps the exchange of value explicit.
